What a wonderful venue. The people who worked at the Orca lodge couldn't have been more lovely. I especially loved Trinity who helped me the most and I loved Wendy's coffee shop. The coffee was the best! The food was delicious, the excursions were fantastic, and meeting with Cheryl was the best. I had a great time and came home with new writing energy, new friends, and beautiful memories. Thank you- Annie

Cordova, Alaska's Orca Lodge, at the height of the rainiest July on record, was the perfect setting for (what turned out to be an all-women's) writing+adventure retreat with the indomitable Cheryl Strayed. We hiked, we shucked, we laughed, we listened, we wrote. Mostly, we reconnected with our authentic selves in a gorgeous and inspiring location, surrounded by brand-new, forever friends.

This was such a lovely trip. Kim really put her heart and soul into making sure everyone had a great experience. The beauty was breathtaking. And, the connections and conversations were priceless. I am very grateful that Kim organized and guided us on this adventure. Thank you. ~ Elizabeth

If you are going to Alaska with an inflexible agenda, a to-do list to check-off, and an inability to go with the flow, this is NOT the trip for you. If, however, you are going to Alaska with an open mind and desire to experience the unpredictability and wild beauty that Alaska has to offer, THIS IS THE EXPERIENCE for you. I got to shuck and eat oysters, fish for the first time (29.5 lbs of fish in my freezer!), meet incredible people, and see a part of Alaska that the cruise ships don't venture near. Highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic Alaskan adventure.
