Women's Solstice Trip: Round the Clock Sunshine with Lauren Vollentine
We're headed to TWO wonderful places in Alaska on this trip! Hope, a pastoral, laid-back village of 200 year-round residents and Seward, a small town with a big heart and deep roots in Alaska's maritime history. Your Coach Lauren is taking over THREE of our favorite Alaskan lodging sites and teeing up plenty of fun under the Midnight Sun.
From Lauren: "I'm a Strength and Run Coach to Trail and Adventure Athletes, a Nurse, and an Outdoors Adventurer. I believe that community and connection, adventure, and play are all vital parts to our human experience. I'm passionate about gathering women of all ages and levels to connect, explore the outdoors, and get out of our comfort zone. I can't wait to experience this trip with you!"
Three nights at Bear Creek Lodge's rustic cabins OR Coldwater Lodge's rooms, in Hope,
& three nights at the Nauti Otter cozy yurt village in Seward.
Bear Creek Lodge in Hope features authentic log cabins on a picturesque pond and babbling creek. The cabins are cozy with wood burning stoves and decks to relax on. Called "dry cabins" and without running water, guests have access to a clean, comfortable, and modern bath house for freshening up before dinner (at its onsite Dirty Skillet eatery).
Coldwater Lodge in Hope is the next door neighbor to Bear Creek Lodge. The Coldwater rooms are more modern, each with its own ensuite bathroom. A quick walk (~ a minute) brings guests right over to Bear Creek Lodge, from their motel-like accommodations into the thick of things at our eating and gathering point.
The Nauti Otter in Seward is a compound of very comfy glamp-style yurts on private forested property close in to town. At the center of the compound is a covered area for group dining with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and plenty of space to visit and relax.
Three nights lodging at either Bear Creek Cabins *or* Coldwater Lodge rooms and three nights lodging at the Nauti Otter.
